At the start of the new year I set myself a punishing schedule to get fit. I signed up for the Miami marathon, two legs of the Cross-Island relay, the Fort Luaderdale marathon and the Off The Beaten Track ultra-marathon all within 4 weeks of each other. After Miami I was in a bit of pain and second guessing my over commitment; however, several trips to Chistine and the team at ASAP and I was off the injury list and running better than ever.

Ju jitsu training can be very hard on my body and I often get hamstring strains which take a few days to resolve. Not wanting to put my training on hold, I saw Christine for acupuncture. I have had 2 treatments in the past 2 weeks, both times for hamstring-related issues. Each time I was able to return to full training the next day completely pain-free. I have no idea how she does it, but I now call Christine The Witch Doctor...her acupuncture is magic!

I recently decided to start running again and completely overdid the distance. Undeterred and determined to continue, I kept running until I was limping due to my calf being so tight. Since I had carried on too long, the pain had spread into my glute as well.

I went to see Christine who suggested dry needling to release the tight muscles. The almost immediate release is more than worth the temporary pain. After two sessions I was back running 13 miles virtually pain free. I would highly recommend acupuncture and would definitely do it again. These pins are nothing short of a miracle!

My treatments at ASAP were top-notch and I'm feeling much better. Christine's gentle yet firm touch does the trick, she knows her stuff. Her knowledge and experience make the magic happen!
